Becoming a Navy Seal
My American Dream is to become a navy seal, and to serve in the U.S. military. In today’s society it could be difficult to become a Seal, although it’s going to be very strenuous to become one anyway. The training that Seal’s go through, are designed to break anybody. The training is the hardest and most gruesome training to be put upon anyone. Some of the societal things I am worried about are: not being able to see my family for awhile. Also breaking down myself constantly, just to build back up again. Reasons I think society could affect my dream is because of how the economy is and how our country is changing and is nowhere close to the way it used to be. Our country might be out of control by the time I want to become a Seal. So, this dream all depends on what route this country takes, and I hope that whatever happens that is for the benefit of all. Other obstacles I might face to become a Seal would be to be in tip top shape constantly before going into the Seal training called BUD’s (Basic Underwater Demolition/Seal). Becoming a Seal is much more than just trying to be tough and being the best of the best. My main reason for having a dream of being a Navy Seal is because not only do I want to help the world and keep things in order but I will become stronger mentally and physically, but it will build good character and make me more of a man by serving for our country.
